Meet Danielle Our Social Media & Graphic Design Coordinator

My name is Danielle Reynolds and I am the Social Media and Graphic Design Coordinator for the Neurofibromatosis (NF) Network. For the last year, I have been working to keep you updated on all of our events, services, and news through social media and updating our website. I have also had the privilege of helping put on the NF Hope and Docs Rock concerts. Previously, I worked in Marketing, Print, Graphic Design and more for both for-profit and non-profit companies. I have a B.A. in Graphic Design and a B.A. in Psychology from North Central College in Naperville, IL.

Before starting my position at the NF Network I had no idea what Neurofibromatosis was. Through my interview for the position with Kim Bischoff I learned what NF was and what the Network does to provide support for families affected by NF. Her words moved me into taking the position.  My goal is to grow our online community; to continue to be a place where everyone can be informed about NF, a place that inspires others to get involved, and a place for people to connect and share their stories.

Over the past year I have met some amazing people through board meetings, concerts and events. I love my co-workers and can see their passion for this amazing cause in everything they do. When I’m not working for the Neurofibromatosis Network, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, my cats and fiancé. I travel constantly and work on passion projects such as creating board games. I am excited to say a card and dice game called Nut Stash I created is now on Kickstarter! A platform used to fund dreams into existence. Through gaming, I happened to meet an event coordinator from Lagunitas. Chicago’s local brewery Lagunitas has now generously partnered with the NF Network to host a day of games and drinking on Sunday, June 23^rd. All proceeds from this event will go to the NF Network.

My favorite part of this job, besides the people, is creating graphics and social media for events I get to go to. I get to be there for every step of the process. I have always found that networking in person is one of the most effective ways to make connections. To me, the NF Network is about making connections and forming a support group that understands what you’re going through. Neurofibromatosis may not have a cure yet, but with all of the amazing people working towards it, I’m sure it’s on the horizon.
