Dr. Tonsgard is the Director of one of the largest NF Clinics in the country. He will be discussing the spectrum and diagnosis of learning disabilities and cognitive issues that can be associated with NF1. He will discuss how parents of children with these disabilities can help their child; what parents can tell teachers and school personnel about their child’s NF1. Dr. Tonsgard is part of the NF Consortium which is conducting a clinical trial on learning disabilities in children with NF.
