Camp New Friends is one of several Brainy Camps developed by Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  Camp New Friends serves to reduce the stigma and isolation that is often associated with neurofibromatosis.  The camp also provides respite for parents.

For several years, these condition-specific camps have proven to be an effective way for children to learn more about their condition and to develop adaptive behaviors. At all Brainy Camps children learn directly from peers and adult volunteers who live effectively with these same health conditions.

Visit the Camp New Friends page on our website for more information, the 2012 Brochure and some great pictures from last year’s camp!
