Join us for an day of Fun, Food and Fireworks with the Kane County Cougars baseball team on May 16, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

By participating in this event, you can help NF Midwest send a child ages 7-16 to a special camp for kids affected by Neurofibromatosis. As is typical of NF, these kids are all affected differently. They have symptoms that range from mild learning disabilities to debilitating tumors of the brain and spinal cord, disfiguring external tumors, paralysis, hearing loss and optic gliomas. Their medical histories could fill volumes, yet they try to pursue a normal existence in spite of frightening obstacles.

At Camp New Friends, they find lifelong friendships, as well as the confidence and self-esteem they need to handle this chronic disorder.  It is 7 days and 6 night of social interaction with other kids with NF, and a lot of summer fun!
