The BC Neurofibromatosis Foundation and Neurofibromatosis Canada are hosting ‘A Day in the Life of NF1 2010 Symposium’ on April 9 and 10 in Vancouver, Canada. Expert presenters are coming from France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States and across Canada to share the latest information about research, treatments and the management of symptoms. Specialists include Dr. Pierre Wolkenstein, a Professor of Dermatology and the Coordinator of the National French Referral Center for Neurofibromatosis; Dr. Tanya Gee, a Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine; and Dr. Vincent M. Riccardi, a clinical geneticist and cell biologist who has been working on neurofibromatosis since 1972.
A dinner and comedy show on Friday, April 9, features David Roche, an internationally known performer, speaker and author who uses his congenital facial disfigurement in his comedy act.
